The mosque of the Islamic Center in Jakarta, Indonesia caught fire today during the renovation and then the dome of the mosque collapsed.

The horrific scene of the collapse of the great dome has been captured, showing flames and smoke billowing from the structure just before it collapses.

No one was injured in the fire and subsequent collapse. However, the videos clearly show that the damage to the glass is extensive.

Firefighters were alerted to the fire shortly after 3:00 p.m. local time, and at least ten firefighters are on the scene, however, the cause of the fire that destroyed the mosque is still unknown.

Local media reports that the police questioned four people who were working on the renovation of the building.

This mosque is just one of the buildings in the Jakarta Islamic Center complex, which also has educational, commercial and research facilities.

By the way, this dome has already caught fire once during renovation exactly 20 years ago.
