Stop War

Statements by the two Foreign Ministers.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba spoke at a press conference after the last round of talks today between Ukraine and Russia in Antalya, Turkey.

Kuleba says both sides agreed to continue efforts to seek a solution to humanitarian issues on the ground in Ukraine.

“I am ready to continue this commitment with the aim of ending the war in Ukraine, stopping the suffering of Ukrainian civilians and liberating our territories from Russian occupying forces.”

Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said he discussed humanitarian issues with his Ukrainian counterpart, including what “troops are doing to protect civilians.”

Food supply and price stability in Europe was also on the agenda, he told reporters.

Russia’s top diplomat also said that by offering defense aid to Ukraine, the West was “behaving dangerously.”

“We did not attack Ukraine,” he said, adding that “Russia was threatening and had to defend the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, which Russia sees as independent of Ukraine.”
