SpaceX founder Elon Musk has called on researchers and cyber security specialists to hack into his Startlink satellite internet network, offering a $25,000 reward to those who succeed.

Musk promised a big reward for those who manage to find a way to hack Starlink, and report the “bug” to SpaceX.

This company deals with launching rockets and sending cargo into space, satellites and astronauts – as well as providing satellite Internet services through the Starlink network.

Musk helped Ukraine get online after Russia attacked its network and Starlink has continued to expand and be accessible in many countries of the world, which means that it has been used more and more every time.

Last week, news began circulating that a cheap modchip could be used to hack Starlink’s Dishy causing crashes, and allowing hackers access to certain parts of the system.

Reports say that this off-the-shelf modchip can be assembled if $25 is paid, but also give the hacker access to the data.
