The coach of England, Gareth Southgate, has spoken after the defeat by France and the elimination from the World Cup “Qatar 2022”.

England were beaten 2-1 in the quarter-finals by France to crash out of the World Cup in a bitter defeat.

After the loss, the coach of the Three Lions, Southgate, has spoken, who has refused to say whether he will resign or continue as coach of England.

“After every tournament, we have sat down, reviewed and reflected. It takes some time for everyone to make the right decisions,” Southgate initially said when asked about the future.

“We deserved more with our performance, but in the end the goals are decisive. I told the players that I didn’t think they could have given more.”

“I thought they played well against a big team, but they are good margins. I thought the way this group progressed during the tournament was fantastic.”

“We were here to try and win the tournament, we thought we could have done that, with this performance against the world champions.”

“We win and lose as a team. We lost some chances. Kane is very reliable in those situations, we wouldn’t be here for him”, concluded the English coach.
