Russia’s former president mentions nuclear war.

Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev mentioned on Wednesday the possibility of a nuclear war if the International Criminal Court (ICC) decides to punish Moscow for suspected crimes in Ukraine.

“The idea of punishing a country that has the largest nuclear arsenal is absurd in itself,” said Medvedev, a close ally of President Vladimir Putin.

“And it potentially creates a threat to the existence of humanity,” he continued.

Medvedev, who was Putin’s president between 2008 and 2012, is now the vice president of the Security Council.

Since Putin sent troops into Ukraine on February 24, Medvedev has regularly used social media to attack the West and those who criticize Moscow.

Last month, he called those who “hate” Russia “degenerates” and vowed to work to “disappear” them.
