Russian sets himself on fire

Shocking video shows a Russian man setting himself on fire to avoid being drafted into the Ukraine war.

Less than a week after Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the “partial mobilization” of up to 300,000 reservists, footage has emerged of a man in the southeastern city of Ryazan being engulfed in flames.

“At the bus station in Ryazan, a man set himself on fire,” the post read.

“He shouted that he did not want to participate in a special operation in Ukraine.”

After extinguishing the flames, the man is seen being escorted to the ambulance by the police.

An eyewitness said he escaped with minor injuries, while another witness said he had burns over 90 percent of his body.

The self-immolation attempt is just the latest in a series of anti-mobilization protests as thousands of Russians try to flee to border countries.

The brutal invasion of Ukraine has now entered its eighth month – causing thousands of casualties and property damage.
