Russian media confirms the deaths of five commanders.

At least five Russian servicemen, including the commander of the Kostroma air force, have died in battle in Ukraine, Russia’s regional state television network GTRK Kostroma reported.

During the Russian aggression in Ukraine, according to the Regional Military Commissariat quoted by GTRK Kostroma, “the soldiers of the 331st Air Regiment of the Guard gave their lives for the security of Russia.”

Among the dead are the commander of the unit, Colonel Sergei Sukharev, Senior Sgt. Sergei Lebedev, Sgt. Alexander Limonov, lieutenant Yuri Dektyarev and captain Alexei Nikitin.

We note that this is one of the rare cases where the Russian authorities admit that they have losses in their ranks, where for the first and last time they had confirmed that about 500 soldiers have died so far in Ukraine.

Otherwise, the Ukrainian authorities have reported that so far they have killed over 14 thousand Russian soldiers.
