Russia accuses YouTube of blocking its channel.

Russian officials have accused YouTube of blocking the channel for the lower house of the Russian parliament and have warned of retaliation.

Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin accuses Washington of violating “Russian rights”, while Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova says “YouTube has sealed its fate.”

“The United States wants to have a monopoly on the dissemination of information,” Volodin told the Telegram. “We can not allow this.”

According to Moscow, Duma-TV has more than 145,000 subscribers. That channel broadcasts videos of parliamentary debates and interviews with Russian lawmakers.
