Polestar 3 is an electric SUV with a range of 610 kilometers

Polestar 3 – The much-anticipated SUV from a 5-year-old car brand that managed to revolutionize the electric car industry within a short period of time since its “explosion” on the motoring scene.

First is the design, here the Polestar 3 retains the Nordic influences for which the brand has been praised many times.

The roofline is very low, Polestar decided to move the seats lower and offer a more spacious position than in other SUVs. The rear seats have been pushed much further back, in order to offer more space.

The front lights feature a new look in the “double blade” theme, they incorporate the latest technology with 1.3 million small mirrors that constantly adjust to illuminate the road, and to reduce the glare of oncoming traffic.

Meanwhile, the rear lights are again minimalistic and come with the new feature which blinks in a specific system when the car senses the car key close to it. All the front sensors are fitted behind the panel which is located between the headlights, under the air intakes that send the airflow up the hood and straight to the windshield.

Now to talk about performance – the numbers are substantial. The all-wheel drive system delivers 489 horsepower with 840 newton meters of torque in the standard Polestar 3 model, which is enough to accelerate from 0 to 100kMh in just 5 seconds.

The Polestar 3 electric SUV gets a driving range of 610 kilometers while the Performance Pack only gets 560 kilometers, mainly due to the larger wheels.

The starting price of the Polestar 3 is 89,900 euros with the Plus Pack included. While the Performance Pack costs an extra 6,600, and the option of larger wheels and 1.3-megapixel front lights are a pricey option.

The Polestar 3 will be built in the US and China, with production initially set to begin in China in the middle of next year, while the South Carolina Ridgeville plant will begin production for the US market later in 2023, with the first deliveries expected to begin sometime from 2024.
