Medvedev removes the Russian flag from his profile.

Russian tennis player Danil Medvedev, the number 1 in the world for men, has removed the flag of his country from his official pages on social networks.

Last week he officially took the top of the world rankings, but did not enjoy this moment much, due to the Russia-Ukraine war.

“I am happy, but the emotions that come at this moment are mixed due to the situation,” said the Russian tennis player.

Medvedev will play in the Indian Wells tournament where he will try to defend his spot as the best tennis player of the world. He and Andrei Rublev another famous Russian tennis player have repeatedly demanded for the war to sop.

“I want to speak on behalf of every child in the world, to chase their dreams and not see a world at war. “I believe in people, in love, in justice and that everyone should have a chance,” Medvedev added.

The Russian tennis player has removed the Russian flag from his profiles to send a message to stop the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
