France expels six Russian agents.

The French Foreign Ministry has declared six other Russian agents as “non grata” persons operating under diplomatic cover.

The six agents are accused of working against France’s “national interest”.

“After a very long investigation, the General Directorate of Internal Security (DGSI) revealed on Sunday, April 10, a clandestine operation carried out by the Russian intelligence services in our territory,” the statement said.

“Six Russian agents operating under diplomatic cover and whose activities were contrary to our national interests have been declared persona non grata,” it said.

The Foreign Ministry did not provide further details on what the “clandestine operation” involved.
