Canada will help countries replace Russian gas and oil.

Canada has pledged to provide enough oil and gas to help resolve the global energy crisis.

Their prices have risen sharply as a result of Russian supplies being reduced as a result of the occupation of Ukraine.

And Canadian Minister of Natural Resources Jonathan Wilkinson said many countries are committed to “helping them as much as they can – by talking about replacing Russian gas and oil.”

The world’s fourth largest oil producer is committed to exporting 2,000 additional barrels of oil.

“Our European friends and allies need Canada and others to step up,” said Wilkinson, who was in Paris to attend a meeting at the International Energy Agency (IEA) headquarters.

“They’re telling us they need our help in getting off Russian oil and gas in the short term, while speeding up the energy transition across the continent. Canada is uniquely positioned to help with both. ”
