California banned charging of electric cars

California has been hit by a heat wave these days, and the current situation shows not only the power of nature, but also its influence on the development of the automotive industry.

The heat wave in the US continues. The authorities are trying to deal with the consequences, but it is not easy. Some states have significant restrictions.

Thus, California has banned the charging of electric cars during the hours determined by the authorities.

The heat wave will last several days, while the temperature may exceed 40 degrees Celsius.

It is logical that in these weather conditions the demand for electricity is significantly higher thanks to the widespread use of air conditioners that consume a lot of energy.

This means that even in sunny areas like California there is a heavy load on the power grid.

The authorities therefore recommend that electrical equipment not be used unless absolutely necessary.

Owners of electric cars also received instructions. From Tuesday to Wednesday, they were not allowed to charge their cars during the scheduled working hours, and there is a possibility that the situation will repeat itself.

As said, these preventive actions are in function of preventing stricter energy consumption restrictions.

It should be noted that the United States is simultaneously trying to encourage the abandonment of cars with internal combustion engines, which means a more massive transition to electric cars or public transport.

Given the current energy problems in these situations, it seems like an absurd move.

Therefore, it is not difficult to conclude that electricity will become more expensive, which will limit access to resources that today are considered affordable.

Will private cars soon become a luxury? It is not excluded. In any case, the future does not seem to be optimistic.
