Burns: Putin could use nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

The director of American intelligence, William Burns, warned that the possibility of the use of nuclear weapons by the army of Russian President Vladimir Putin should not be neglected.

“Given the potential frustration of President Putin and the Russian leadership, given the obstacles they have faced so far, militarily, none of us should take lightly their threats that they could use tactical nuclear weapons or “Low-efficiency nuclear weapons,” Burns said in a speech at Georgia Tech in Atlanta.

In addition to failing to take Kiev, Russia has lost thousands of soldiers and a considerable number of generals. Russia also recently lost the Moscow warship – the pride of the Russian fleet in the Black Sea.

Otherwise, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the world should be “ready” for the possibility of Russia using tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

Tactical nuclear weapons are usually much less powerful than strategic nuclear weapons and have lower explosive capabilities as they are designed to be used against military positions such as bunkers or port facilities.
