Bomb threat at polling place in Louisiana

A polling station in the US state of Louisiana was moved from one school to another after security authorities received a bomb threat call.

The information was confirmed by John Tobler, deputy secretary for communications and relations at the Louisiana Department of State.

Tobler said the threat was directed at Kenner Discovery, a school located about 20 minutes outside of New Orleans.

The new polling station is a primary school in the same district.

A Kenner Police Department representative said the Kenner Discovery received a bomb threat five days ago.

The school’s students were evacuated that day, and local police and firefighters searched the campus.
