Barcelona ratifies sponsorship deal with Spotify.

Barcelona has ratified the club’s sponsorship deal with well-known company Spotify, with the broadcasting giant set to offer a deal worth over 280 million euros for the next four seasons.

The agreement between the parties, which will see the Barcelona stadium be called “Spotify Camp Nou” and the jersey brand changed over the coming seasons, was agreed in principle last month.

But the deal had to be ratified by Barcelona board and members, which has now been done, to the delight of club president Joan Laporta, who said the move strengthened the club’s democratic control and vision for the future.

“Days like today reinforce our uniqueness and model of the club. It is a privilege that delegates can vote and decide. “It is a pride to have this club model”, Laporta initially said.

“We have to keep it and as long as I am president, you will always be the owners of FC Barcelona.”

“The agreement surpasses any agreement Barça has had in its history,” concluded the club president from Camp Nou.
