A Polish television has published footage showing that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in that country by train, to continue his journey to the USA by plane.
This is the first time Zelensky has left Ukraine in the last 300 days – since Russia began its occupation of the country.
Zelensky has reached Przemysl by train near the Polish-Ukraine border. Zelensky was seen getting into a white van, which took him to Rzeszów airport.
He traveled to the USA accompanied by the American ambassador to Ukraine, Brigdet Ann Brink. He is expected to meet with US President Joe Biden there.
On the other hand, the White House has confirmed that Joe Biden is expected today to announce the news that the US will send the advanced Patriot missile system to Ukraine.
