Russians are leaving Crimea en masse

Crimea

Russians are fleeing Crimea en masse because they fear an attack on the Kerch bridge, which connects the occupied peninsula with Russia.

It is reported that long queues have been created on the bridge for kilometers while the officials ask those who cross it to empty their pockets and undergo a detailed scan.

It all comes weeks after Russian President Vladimir Putin drove across that bridge to prove that the damage caused by the October attack had been repaired.

We remind you that the Ukrainian forces had carried out an attack on the bridge, which had paralyzed the traffic of vehicles.

Built by the Russian Federation after the annexation of Crimea in early 2014, the bridge cost $3.7 billion and is 19 kilometers long, making it the longest bridge in Europe.

Otherwise, Russia started the invasion of Ukraine on February 24, causing casualties and material damage.
