Football star Lionel Messi has reacted to the death of football legend Pele, who died at the age of 82.
Edson Arantes do Nascimento – Pele is considered one of the greatest players of all time.
With the Brazilian national team, he was world champion three times, which no other player has achieved.
He won the first title in 1958, when he stunned the world at the age of 17 and immediately became the main player of the national team, the second title he won four years later and the last in 1970.
“Rest in peace” are Messi’s words for Pele, on his Facebook account.
Pele was announced along with Maradona as the ‘Player of the Century’ in 2000.
