Luis Enrique does not dramatize the elimination with Morocco, complimenting the opponents and wishing them success in the quarter-finals.
The Spain coach admitted that his side did everything well, except the finishing, as he said that the opponents were superior in only one point, that of the penalty shootout, where they were calmer.
“We are Spain and we must present our country in all dimensions, so we wish success to Morocco for the qualification to the quarterfinals. “Football is a wonderful sport, but a bit strange, as the opponent did better than us only in the penalty draw.”
“We dominated the whole match, but in the end we see ourselves out. I chose the first three shooters, but Bono is a great goalkeeper and he showed it tonight. It’s a pity because we did very well, but we have to wait for another opportunity”.
“At the moment, the only thing I want is to go home and see my family.”
“Now is not the moment, as I have to chew this elimination first. Then, next week we will sit down to discuss”, said Enrique.
