The Ferrari F2003-GA in which Michael Schumacher won his sixth F1 driver’s title has been sold at an RM Sotheby’s auction for an incredible value of $14,630,000.
This price is almost double the previous record of $7,504,000 set in 2017 by the Ferrari F2001, which was also driven by the legend Michael Schumacher.
Such a price is also well beyond the original estimate by RM Sotheby’s appraisers, who expected it to sell for something between $7.5 million and $9.5 million, just ahead of the Nov. 9 auction.
As you would expect from a $14.6 million vehicle, the Ferrari F2003-GA has been kept in top condition and is ready to hit the track.
The racing car was recently driven by Mick Schumacher, who was lucky enough to drive one of the most iconic single-seaters from his father’s illustrious career.
