Samsung Electronics has set a new record when it comes to data transfer through the 5G mmWave network.
The tests were carried out in partnership with NBN Co., which is a 750 million Australian dollar investment plan.
NBN uses various upgrade software to get the best out of the 5G network.
During field tests, the device achieved an average download speed of 1.75 Gbps, and an average upload speed of 61.5 Mbps.
The maximum download speed was 2.7 Gbps and was achieved from a distance of 10 kilometers from the source, which is an impressive result.
Samsung and NBN claim that it is the new achievement outside the development of the 5G network, not only in urban regions but also in rural ones.
The test successes show that the 5G network has great potential in the future.
