Russia has not been able to destroy a single HIMARS system, Politico reports citing a Pentagon official.
“According to a senior US Department of Defense official, who wished to remain anonymous to give an honest assessment of the war, Moscow has not been able to destroy any of the HIMARS systems to date.”
In total, the US has sent Ukraine 20 HIMARS missile systems.
However, Ukraine still needs a significant amount of artillery for the next war, the Pentagon official added.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Defense of Russia periodically announces the destruction of HIMARS installations used by the Ukrainian army.
