An explosion occurred on Sunday afternoon in Istanbul’s Taksim Square, where six people were killed and 53 injured.
Although there is still nothing confirmed by the Turkish authorities, reports widely on social media claim that the source of this explosion may be a bag left on a bench in the square.
On the other hand, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that there are signs that the explosion could have been a terrorist act.
Erdogan also stated that initial observations indicate that a woman played a role in Sunday’s incident.
