Xavi has admitted that Barcelona made many mistakes, not only against Inter at Camp Nou in today’s 3-3 draw.
The new coach has understood that the Champions League is very difficult and complicated.
“Negative. This Champions League is cruel to us. We conceded a lot in the second half. The first one was great. The first goal is a very clear mistake from the defense, the second one too… it’s been atrocious since Munich. We do not depend on ourselves. The situation is very difficult. We have to move on and think about El Clasico. Now we have to think about La Liga, because the Champions League has become difficult and complicated”, said Xavi.
“Football is a game of mistakes and we have to minimize them. We have not defended well. The intensity was great in the first half, but we didn’t keep it up. Mistakes are expensive in the Champions League. Defensive mistakes have cost in this match”.
“We gave everything, we left our souls, but they are mistakes that are paid dearly. You can’t forgive that much. In Munich it was effectiveness, in Milan other circumstances and today defensive mistakes”, concluded Xavi.
Barcelona has only four points after four games.
