Last night, the pro-Russian officials of the occupied Kherson region in Ukraine warned of the serious situation as a result of the Ukrainian counter-offensive, which they expect to expand even more “in the near future”.
Moscow confirmed last night that it will evacuate the residents of the cities on the right side of the Dnipro River.
Yesterday the pro-Russian official of Kherson, Vladimir Saldo, whom Russia appointed to this post, said that from 50 to 60 thousand people will be sent to Russia and to the left bank of the Dnipro.
“The evacuation will certainly last six days,” Saldo told.
Earlier, the pro-Russian official of Kherson, Kiril Stremousov, had declared that “the battle for Kherson will begin in the near future.”
Last night it was declared again – stressing that “the situation remains unchanged”.
“Our defense in some parts of the Kherson region is ready to counter the Ukrainians,” Stremousov added.
“We do not rule out the possibility of shelling from the right side of the coast, and for this we ask civilians to pass under the left side in order to avoid casualties”, he said among other things.
