US President Joe Biden said in Washington that America and its allies will not be intimidated by Russian President Vladimir Putin’s threats while adding that the US will “defend every inch of NATO territory”.
Putin signed decrees on Russia’s annexation of four Ukrainian regions, Zaporozhzhia, Kherson, Donetsk and Luhansk, which Western countries, the European Union and NATO strongly condemned.
“The United States will never accept it. And to be honest: the world will never accept it either. He can’t take over his neighbor’s territory and run away with it, he just can’t,” Biden said.
According to him, the US will continue to provide military aid to Ukraine for its defense and that country will receive another 13 billion dollars from the US Congress.
“America is fully prepared to defend every inch of NATO territory with its NATO allies, every inch – so, Putin, I want you to understand me very clearly. Every centimeter,” said Biden.
Otherwise, Ukraine has already requested to join NATO as soon as possible.
