Russian soldiers say they were “thrown like dogs” into the fields of Ukraine with no information, no orders and no equipment in videos circulating on social media.
The soldiers say that they were transported up and down, before being released “somewhere in the fields of Ukraine”, where they live in holes dug out of the ground with their bare hands, because they have no shovels.
Current temperatures drop to freezing overnight.
It has not been possible to verify these claims.
