Russia has lost 69,220 troops since the aggression began

Ukraine has given its latest update on the number of losses Russia has suffered since the start of the war.

Thus, Ukraine says that 69,220 Russian troops have been killed and 5,364 armored personnel carriers destroyed since the start of the February 24 aggression in Ukraine.

Other military equipment that has disappeared includes 249 helicopters, 2,631 tanks and 271 aircraft.

Otherwise, the Russian government last announced an official figure for troop deaths in March, when it said 1,351 soldiers had been killed in the war.

However, at the time, NATO estimated that up to 15,000 Russian troops had been killed since Moscow began its aggression.

And in July, US intelligence estimated that more than 75,000 Russian soldiers had been killed or wounded in the war.
