Elon Musk told that the Chinese government does not want him to sell his satellite internet service, Starlink, to China.
Musk says Beijing has made clear its disapproval of the recent Starlink launch of SpaceX’s satellite communications system in Ukraine, the service launched to help the military circumvent Russia’s internet blackout.
He says Beijing asked for assurances that it would not sell Starlink to China. However, it is not known whether Musk agreed to Beijing’s request.
Musk’s electric car giant Tesla relies on China for more than 20 percent of its revenue and has a large factory in Shanghai.
