French President Emmanuel Macron has stated that he believes there are possibilities for peace in Ukraine.
“There is a prospect for peace, it will come at some point,” Macron said during the conference in Rome, which was aimed at finding ways to promote peace in the world.
“At a certain point, regardless of how things develop and when the Ukrainian people and its leaders decide on the terms, a peace agreement can be reached with the other side,” Macron said.
We recall that France, in several addresses since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, has emphasized that it is important for Western diplomatic channels to be open to Moscow.
On the other hand, fierce fighting is continuing in Ukraine, where Russian forces are continuing to bomb the energy and civilian infrastructure, despite Moscow constantly declaring that it targets Ukraine’s military infrastructure.
