Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi has accused the United States of “dragging” the decision to revive the nuclear agreement, which Tehran signed with world powers in 2015.
The 2015 deal provided for the lifting of sanctions on Iran in exchange for curbs on its nuclear activities.
After former US President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw the US from this agreement in 2018, Tehran has also begun to avoid some points of the agreement.
But, since the beginning of this year, the member countries of the agreement have increased efforts to revive the pact.
“Today, it is the Americans who have to make a decision, but they are dragging the process with their own feet,” Raisi told reporters in Tehran.
