New footage shows Google‘s ping pong-playing robot performing an epic 340-stroke action with one man.
The advanced robotic arm is seen effortlessly walking along its side of the ping-pong table as it deflects the opponent’s ball.
The monumental action ends when the robot takes a weak shot towards the net, more than four minutes after it started.
Google used real-world and simulation-based training scenarios to turn the robot into a competent table tennis player.
It currently plays ‘co-op’ with a human to make it a good action, but according to Google its skills can be built to match the level of any human.
The robot uses a training platform called “i-Sim2Real”, short for ‘simulation in real life.
