NATO supports Ukraine, and this was confirmed by the head of the North-Atlantic Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg, after a telephone conversation with the head of Ukrainian diplomacy, Dmitry Kuleba, on the day when Russia carried out large-scale attacks on Ukrainian civil infrastructure.
“NATO will continue to support the brave people of Ukraine in the fight against the aggression that the Kremlin is carrying out”, wrote Stoltenberg. The head of the largest military alliance has condemned the “terrible indiscriminate attacks on civilian infrastructure in Ukraine”.
The Ministers of Defense of NATO member countries will meet on Thursday in Brussels, where they will discuss the support given to Ukraine.
On the other hand, the Ukrainian army has announced today that Russia has fired 75 missiles in the direction of Ukraine, while Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has announced that the main target of the attacks was the energy infrastructure in this country and then civilians.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmigal has stated that 11 infrastructure facilities in eight regions and in the capital – Kiev, were damaged by Russian missiles.
President Zelensky has emphasized that Russia has synchronized its attacks in Ukraine in order to cause as many civilian casualties as possible, and has also hit the energy infrastructure.
“They want panic and chaos, they want to destroy our energy grid. Their target is civilians. The time and targets have been selected in such a way as to cause as much damage as possible,” added Zelensky.
