Residents of the Kharkiv region in Ukraine have described in detail the situation on the ground.
“The Russians were here in the morning. In the afternoon they suddenly started screaming and running away, speeding away with tanks and armored vehicles,” said Dmytro Hrushchenko, a resident of Zaliznihn, a town near the front line in the east.
Oleg Sinehubov, governor of the Kharkiv region, has emphasized that in some parts of the front, Ukrainian defenders have reached the border lines with the Russian Federation.
The spokesman of the counter-intelligence of the Ukrainian army announced that the Russian troops are surrendering en masse, after they “realized the situation they are in”.
The expulsion and return of control over some areas that were once controlled by the Russians has been confirmed by the Kremlin itself, which admitted that the Russian forces have withdrawn in some parts.
The counter-offensive of the Ukrainians was warned a long time ago by the president of this country – Volodymyr Zelenskty, who promised to return every centimeter of the territory of Ukraine.
