Russian reservists are unprepared and inexperienced

Vladimir Putin announced today about the partial mobilization, while the Russian Minister of Defense, Sergei Shoigu, said that 300,000 reservists will be invited to the army.

“The 300,000 reservists that Russia is inviting are not trained or experienced, and they are not ready for war, and this could be a very dangerous move,” said the military analyst.

Retired British Air Force Marshal Sean Bell has said the call may sound decisive, but he says they are not professional soldiers ready for war.

“They actually have close to two million reservists serving in the military in the last five years, and they used to have 25 million reservists serving in the military,” Bell added.

“The challenge with these numbers is that it might sound like a lot, so 300,000 is a big number, but they’re not trained, they’re not experienced

“None of the military experts believe that this mobilization will be able to change the course of the war in favor of Russia,” Bell concluded.
