Russians joining the mobilization in Ukraine have been banned from carrying and using smartphones for security reasons and the danger they pose.
The Russian government has opened a line for official services, Hotline 122, for answers to questions regarding the issue of joining the mobilization.
“For security reasons, the use of smartphones in the ranks of military units has been banned,” the Russian army said in a statement.
Soldiers can carry simple phones of the older generation, but even they must keep them in a certain place and use them only at certain times.
With this action, they want to prevent soldiers from revealing their location through photos or videos, and that videos are shared on the Internet that show the real state of the Russian army.
Many of those who are joining the mobilization have already managed to make videos of their journeys to the barracks, and this helps the Ukrainians to locate them easily and then attack them.
