Acting Prime Minister Boris Johnson is expected to make his final speech in the post from Downing Street this morning.
Immediately after the speech, the British will leave for Balmoral, Scotland, where he will inform the Queen of the resignation.
After that, the new leader of the Conservative Party, Liz Truss, also in Balmoral, will be appointed as the new prime minister of Great Britain.
During the day, Truss will most likely start appointing the cabinet, which is expected to include the current secretary, Keasi Kwarteng, as chancellor, the current Attorney General, Suella Braverma as home secretary, while James Cleverly is expected to move from education secretary in foreign secretary.
