The former secretary of state and candidate for president in the USA, Hillary Clinton (74), said that she will no longer run for president.
“No, I will not run. But I will do everything I can to have a president who respects our democracy, the rule of law and our institutions.”
She added that Trump does not belong to the category of president she would support and that he should be “seriously defeated” if he runs again.
“That process must start in the Republican Party. Show character, stand up to this guy,” Clinton said.
Trump, who defeated Clinton in the 2016 presidential election, has hinted he may run again in 2024, and polls show he has a good chance of being the Republican nominee.
Otherwise, Clinton was once the First Lady during Bill Clinton’s presidency as well as the Secretary of State.
