Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, on the occasion of marking the country’s Independence Day, has declared that Ukraine “has changed history and that of the world in general during these six months of Russia’s war.
He emphasized that these last six months have shown who was “our brother and the true friend of our country”.
“The whole world learned who Ukrainians are. No one will say anything about it anymore: it is somewhere there, near Russia,” the Ukrainian president added.
He is even convinced that his country was “reborn” when the Russian forces decided to start the invasion of Ukraine.
“A new nation was born on February 24 at 4 am. Not born, but born again. A nation that did not cry, scream or fear. We didn’t run away, we didn’t give up and we didn’t even forget. This flag will be where it belongs, in Donbass and Crimea,” added Zelensky.
According to the head of the country, every new day is a reason for Ukrainians not to give up, due to the fact that they have gone through many challenges.
