Ukraine’s military administration says its troops targeting Russian-held Kherson have “successfully destroyed warehouses, weapons accumulations and enemy checkpoints with high-precision strikes” as part of their counterattack.
Troops have also managed to cause damage to “bridges across the Dnipro”, the officials said in a message posted on Telegram, making it “possible to block the supply of weapons and personnel from Crimea to the Russian army”.
On the other hand, the Russian state news agency reports that Russia is using air defense systems in an attempt to avoid Ukrainian attacks in the area.
These claims come after expert Justin Bronk earlier that Ukraine is having success using Himars (missile launchers supplied by the US) against Russia – allowing them to cut supply lines.
Echoing a warning issued by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky last night, Kherson officials also say it is important for them to keep operational information about Ukrainian troops to a minimum.
“Trust only official sources of information!”, they are quoted as calling.
