A man was seriously injured when he was attacked by a three and a half meter alligator, this attack was filmed by a drone.
JC La Verde, 34 years old, said that his head and neck almost ended up in the mouth of the reptile that bit him, but luckily he managed to defend himself and run away.
Aerial video shows the alligator swimming across Lake Tonotosasa near Tampa, Florida. His colleague, who at the time was filming with a drone for a promotional video, captured the chilling moment.
“I couldn’t see the alligator. I hit him directly with my head”, said J. He described this blow as when you hit a wall with your head.
“Then I felt the skin and the teeth, I immediately understood what it was about, I had no doubts about it”, he added.
“It cracked my skull and jaw. It’s a miracle I survived such an attack. I somehow knew that he will get out of this situation and that’s why I had to react”, said the survivor of the alligator attack, among other things.
“I knew I was in his mouth and I grabbed his teeth, and with the other hand I grabbed his tongue”, remembers J.
This 34-year-old man says he has watched the video of the fight with the alligator 40 times, and then explained why he thinks the alligator let him go.
“I wasn’t weak, I caught him by turns. I was surprised, but he was certainly more than me, and maybe also because everything developed very quickly”, emphasized the young man from Florida.
After he managed to leave and swim out of the water, bystanders came to his aid and immediately sent him to the hospital, where the doctors decided to put him in the operating room, which lasted for about six hours.
