The prices of the 15 most popular electric cars in Germany have increased by 14.5 percent during this month, compared to the same time period last year.
The average increase in the price of an electric car is 5385 euros. This is the result of a market study by the Center for Automotive Research (CAR).
Tesla Model 3 has become more expensive for 7,000 euros, namely the basic version now costs 49,900 euros. On the other hand, Ford has increased the price of the basic version of the Mustang Mach-E by 9,000 euros – thus going to 56,500 euros.
Audi and Porsche have also raised prices. And experts predict that the prices of electric cars will still increase, and this increase is happening due to the increase in the cost of the materials needed for the production of batteries.
From 2016 to 2021, Germany has spent 4.6 billion euros on the promotion of electric cars.
