German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has said that there should be a common air defense system across Europe as a defense against Russia.
Scholz praised such a proposed system as a “security victory for all of Europe”.
He said in a speech in Prague: “… Vladimir Putin will exploit every disagreement between us, every weakness.”
Scholz also appeared to signal support for an EU army, adding that there should be a central military command and “EU headquarters”.
He also added that he would welcome Ukraine into the bloc, but warned that it would have to come with voting reform in Brussels.
