The American army kills the leader of Al-Qaeda.
The United States has killed Al Qaeda leader Ayman al-Zawahiri in a drone strike.
The US government has not yet confirmed the death of Al-Zawahiri.
On the other hand, Joe Biden will address the citizens in a conference held, related to the operations of the anti-terrorism unit.
“Over the weekend, the United States conducted a counterterrorism operation against the leader of Al Qaeda in Afghanistan.
The operation was successful and no civilians were reported injured or killed by this drone attack,” a senior official of the US administration announced.
And Biden, who tested positive for COVID-19 and is dealing with the virus, will address the citizens from the terrace of the Blue Room at the White House.
Zawahiri comes from an Egyptian family. His grandfather Rabia’a al-Zawahiri was an imam at al-Azhar University in Cairo.
His great-grandfather, Abdel Rahman Azzam, was the first Secretary of the Arab League.
