PSG beat Lille 7-1 in their last Ligue 1 match and Kylian Mbappe scored a hat-trick. The convincing win brought some calm to a tense dressing room, as well as a new nickname for the 23-year-old striker.
Mbappe surprised many in May when PSG announced their star would extend his contract and the Frenchman rejected Real Madrid’s offer and stayed at Prince Park.
However, at the beginning of the new season, there was a lot of tension between teammates and Mbappe, and the French media wrote about the PSG locker room as a “powder keg”.
However, it seems as though the tension between Mbappe and his teammates has eased after the latest win.
As usual, the player who scores a hat-trick receives a ball signed by all his teammates and among the main signatures was the word ‘Penguin’ written in Spanish.
The author is Achraf Hakimi, who was born in Madrid and spent a decade playing in Real Madrid’s academy.
So Mbappe got a new nickname, as it was previously known that he was also called Donatello due to the similarity with the character of the same name from the popular cartoon ‘Ninja Turtles’.
