Italian tests positive for coronavirus, monkeypox and HIV

Test

Italy has recorded the first case of a patient who is simultaneously positive for coronavirus, monkeypox and HIV.

It is about a 36-year-old man, who, nine days after returning from vacation in Spain, developed a fever, headache, sore throat, inflammation in the groin and felt tired.

The Italian said that during his stay in Spain he had unprotected sex with men. Three days after the onset of symptoms, he was diagnosed with the coronavirus.

A few hours after the positive test for COVID-19, the Italian developed a rash on his left hand. After a few days, monkeypox spread throughout his body, so he was hospitalized in Catania.
