Elon Musk sells nearly 8 million shares of Tesla.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk has sold 7.9 million Tesla shares in recent days, raising $6.9 billion with his sales.
The sales from Friday to Tuesday were disclosed in a series of filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission late Tuesday evening.
They mark Musk’s first sale of Tesla stock since April, when he sold 9.6 million shares, raising $8.5 billion at the time.
Those April sales came shortly after Musk struck a deal to buy Twitter for $44 billion.
But a month ago he announced that he has no plans to continue with that deal.
Twitter went ahead with the lawsuit to force Musk to proceed with the deal under the terms reached in April.
