The Turkish Bayraktar drone, which was bought by Lithuania for Ukraine, has carried out its first actions against Russian forces. The drone has already been used for reconnaissance and recently managed to destroy two Russian army artillery crews.
The video was posted on Twitter by Lithuanian journalist Andrius Tapinas, who was a fundraiser for the purchase of Bayraktar TB2 for the Ukrainian armed forces.
“First kill by Lithuanian Bayraktar Vanagas!!! Confirmed by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine”, wrote the journalist on Twitter.
We recall that the Lithuanians were able to raise more than five million euros in a few days to buy a Turkish drone, but Baykar decided to donate the drone.
The UAV arrived in Lithuania on July 4, where it was named Vaganas. Four days later, Bayraktar TB2 landed in Ukraine.
