Over 100,000 Ukrainians have reached Great Britain.
Around 104,000 people have reached the UK under Ukraine visa schemes since Monday, according to the latest government figures.
Outgoing British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has responded by thanking everyone in the UK for opening their homes to those forced to flee Ukraine due to Putin’s barbarism.
This includes 31,300 people under the family scheme and 72,700 people under the Homes for Ukraine sponsorship scheme.
The figures also show that by Tuesday around 198,200 visa applications had been made and 166,200 visas had been granted.
This includes 55,000 applications under the family scheme, of which 47,200 visas were granted, and 143,200 applications under the sponsorship scheme, of which 119,000 visas were granted.
Otherwise, at least 12 million people have fled their homes since Russia invaded Ukraine, the United Nations (UN) says.
